A Season of Mentorship

Updated: Aug 28, 2019

It feels like we are entering a new season of mentorship at Grace Community Home Health.

Last month, we were the only agency in the area to receive the top 5 Star Medicare rating. More importantly, each patient receives the amazing type of care that we would want for our own families. By God's grace, we are blessed to do this with a strong and growing commitment to mentorship.

Since Grace Community was founded, our leadership team's calling has been to grow, mentor, and support each other in our work, life, and faith. This is what was on my heart as I read Psalm 25 this morning:

"Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow.

Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord."

In this Psalm, David is the king of Israel, asking God for guidance. It is striking that as leaders, we too need to be led. To have the path and road revealed to us and to experience compassion and unfailing love is the gift that we want to share as we grow, mentor, and support one another.

Compassion and unfailing love might even be more than a want, but a necessity as we grow. Our prayer is that God would continue to call people to Grace Community, to mentor and to be mentored.

It feels like we're entering a new season at Grace Community, and I look forward to growing along with our team.
